
Former Chancellor George Osborne who served as the Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2019 – 2016 is set to tie the knot with for the second time with Thea Rogers, who was his former chief of staff at the 14th Century St Mary’s Church in the Somerset on the 8th of July, 2023. The couple announced their engagement in April 2021 and will now be saying their vows two years later.
The now chairman of the British Museum, George and Thea first crossed path during their time in the political space where they shared a mutual understanding on the political landscape and a passion for public service which set the foundation for a mutual connection. As their professional relationship grew, so also did the bond between them which ultimately transcended love and thus prompted their decision to seal the deal.
The he ceremony will take place at St Mary’s Church in Bruton, which has come to be known as “The Notting Hill of The West” is the resident town of notable dignitaries such as Joe Wright, Koos Bekker, Iwan Wirth and of course George Osborne who owns a five-bedroom Grade II-listed house which cost € 1.6 million. The union will be graced with top political personalities such as former Prime Minister David Cameron and Secretary Michael Gove and or the dignitaries are slated to attend
Osborne and Rogers already have two children together, Beau and Arthur. They welcomed their first child, Beau together in 2021 and subsequently welcomed the second, Arthur, on December 30, 2022.
