One of the major announcements at the expo is a ₹2,100 crore investment for the manufacturing of Terra EVs in Gujarat. With plans to export to over 100 countries, including Europe and Japan, this initiative cements India’s position as a global hub for sustainable automotive manufacturing.
Terra EV boasts impressive features, including:
- 18-inch aerodynamic wheels tailored for EV efficiency.
- Luxurious interiors, featuring ventilated and 10-way adjustable driver seats.
- A spacious cabin with a long wheelbase for added comfort.
- Battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh, delivering a range of up to 500 km.
Spotlight: E Vitara
Maruti’s much-awaited E Vitara also took center stage. Production is set to commence soon, with a goal of manufacturing 100,000 units in its first year. The car will be sold domestically and exported globally. Maruti’s senior executive shared, “E Vitara embodies the ‘Make in India’ vision, offering a blend of advanced technology and local manufacturing expertise.”
